Licensing & Content Sourcing Policy
Effective Date: 23 September 2026
1. Purpose
This Policy explains where the 3D models sold on https://modelium.club (the “Site”) come from, on what legal basis Modelium Club distributes them, and what rights are passed on to buyers. It applies to every Digital Product listed on the Site. Rights and licensing terms are not repeated on each product page. The terms described here apply to each product page and are incorporated into it by reference.
Modelium Club is operated by Similar Tech OÜ, registry number 17505721, Narva mnt 7a-404, 15172 Tallinn, Estonia (“Modelium Club”, “we”, “us”).
2. We are an authorised distributor, not an unlicensed re-seller
Modelium Club is a curated digital store. Modelium Club itself, as the seller, offers and sells every Digital Product in the catalogue. Before we list any Digital Product, we obtain written authorisation from the original creator (the author or the holder of the rights in the design). Modelium Club does not list models that are obtained from file-sharing sources, “leaks”, subscription downloads for personal use, or any other source that does not grant a right of redistribution.
3. Legal bases on which models are offered
Depending on the individual agreement with each creator, every Digital Product on the Site is offered on one of the following bases:
(a) Acquisition of rights. Modelium Club has acquired from the creator, for a fee, the exclusive or non-exclusive right to reproduce the digital files, make them available to the public, and sublicense them to end customers.
(b) Distribution licence with royalties (revenue share). The creator has granted Modelium Club a licence to distribute the digital files to end customers. In return, the creator receives royalties calculated per sale or on another agreed basis.
(c) Creator Partner Programme. The creator lists the Digital Product under our Creator Partner Agreement and receives the revenue share set out in that agreement.
(d) **[Own or commissioned designs.** Some Digital Products were created by or for Modelium Club under a commissioning agreement that transfers or licenses the relevant rights to Modelium Club.] ← [delete if not applicable]
In every case, the creator keeps authorship (moral rights). Unless the individual agreement provides for an assignment, the creator also keeps ownership of the copyright. Commercial terms differ from creator to creator and are confidential.
4. What every creator agreement covers
Before a Digital Product is listed, we require written confirmation of at least the following:
- the identity of the creator and confirmation that they are the author or the rights holder of the design;
- the right to reproduce the digital files and make them available to the public by download;
- the right to grant end customers the licence described in our End User License Agreement (Terms of Service, Section 6);
- the territory (worldwide unless stated otherwise) and the term of the authorisation;
- whether and how the creator wishes to be credited.
A licence that only permits selling physical prints (for example, a “merchant” or “commercial” subscription tier on a third-party platform) does not allow digital files to be distributed. We do not treat such a licence as sufficient authorisation to list a Digital Product.
5. Records and verification
For each Digital Product, Modelium Club keeps a register that identifies the creator, the underlying agreement, its type (acquisition or licence), and the scope of the rights granted. We can provide supporting documentation, subject to appropriate confidentiality, to:
- payment service providers, banks and marketplace or advertising partners carrying out compliance reviews;
- competent authorities; and
- a person who shows a legitimate rights claim concerning a specific Digital Product.
We may redact commercially sensitive terms, such as prices and royalty rates.
6. Collections and attribution
Products are grouped into collections (categories) that correspond to the original creators’ releases. Where the creator agreement provides for it, the creator or studio is credited on the collection or product page. Some creators license their work to us on a white-label basis and ask not to be named. In those cases, we do not display the creator’s name, but the authorisation is still recorded under Section 5.
7. What buyers receive
A purchase gives the buyer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Digital Product, as set out in the End User License Agreement. The buyer does not acquire ownership of the design or of any intellectual property rights in it. The licence shown on each product page (for example, “Personal use”) is the licence granted. A commercial licence is available only where the creator has authorised it (see EULA Section 6.4).
8. If an upstream authorisation ends
If the agreement with a creator ends, we stop offering the affected Digital Products for new sales. Licences already granted to buyers stay valid on the terms of the EULA, unless a court or competent authority requires otherwise.
9. Rights holders: reporting concerns
If you are a creator or rights holder and believe that a Digital Product on the Site is offered without your authorisation, contact us at dmca@modelium.club. Please include the product URL and evidence of your rights. We will:
- acknowledge the notice within 3 business days;
- check the notice against our rights register and, while the review is pending, disable access to the listing where the notice is substantiated; and
- give you a reasoned response, including the basis of our authorisation where one exists.
The full procedure is set out in our Copyright & Content Takedown Policy (DMCA / EU DSA).
10. Changes
We may update this Policy, for example when new types of creator agreement are introduced. The current version is always published at this URL with its effective date.
